GALLERIA RONGAArt materializes as encounters
Galleria Ronga is a contemporary art exhibition space in the center of Tampere, on Rongankatu. Ronga hosts approximately 40 exhibitions annually, offering something to see throughout the year. The gallery is centrally located and easy to visit free of charge during opening hours.
AvaraTaide ry has maintained the gallery since 2009. Exhibitions change every three weeks, featuring a diverse range of artists at different stages of their careers and various forms of expression, from painting to sculpture and media art.
Three exhibition spaces of different sizes enable various ways to experience art: IsoGalleria offers room for more extensive presentations, PikkuGalleria brings works up close, and Mediakulma focuses on moving image and sound.
Ronga is open to everyone. It is a place where contemporary art can be encountered easily and naturally. Visitors may stop by for a moment or stay longer, alone or together.
The central location and low threshold make the gallery a natural part of Tampere’s diverse cultural scene, and the constantly changing program always offers a new reason to return.
